An anniversary suprise!!!

As you can imagine the thought of spending my 5 year wedding anniversary had me sad and depressed. Luckily this far Nick and I have never been apart on our anniversary, until now. The 5th one at that. But being the sweet man he is, he still managed to make my day. I got this lovely bear in the mail yesterday(with the help of my mother in law). She's from Build a Bear and her name is BinkerTell Lavender. How funny is that? (As you probably know my favorite color is purple and Disney character is Tinkerbell. ) Then today I got these lovely flowers. They really are so beautiful and smell wonderful. My entire down stairs smells great. When the lady came to the door with the flowers I was in awe. I got them inside and tears were welling up until I saw this:

and then I burst into laughter. You gotta love the language barrier around here. It says Jodid instead of Jodie and Nichonlas instead of Nicholas. Too funny. I laughed for a good while about it. It all made for quite a good day. Happy Anniversary my love, I love you with all my heart<3!!!

Kadena Erin

Just wanted to introduce you to Kara's bear Kadena Erin:
Her Granny and Grandpa Hayes made her at Build a Bear workshop. She got the name Kadena after our base (My FIL's idea) and Erin so she would have the same initials (My MIL's idea) as Kara Elizabeth. I love her little outfit a mix of mine and her granny's favorite colors!
Thank you Granny and Grandpa for this lovely addition to my nursery. Love you bunches- KARA XOXO

Her blanket

WHOOPS! I wrote this on Saturday but forgot to push publish post so it was just saved.

So for show and tell Friday (althought it's Saturday here) I wanted to share something special with you. At my baby shower everyone put messages to Kara on washclothes and my neighbor (Meredith) sewed them together to make a blanket. It was my other neighbor, Tangela's idea. It turned out really cute, as you can see. The blank one in the corner is for me to put something. I am probably going to do her birthdate, weight, and inches. Speaking of inches, turns out she's only 20 inches long. They told us wrong at her birth. I had a paper that said 20 inches and then when she got measured at her appointment it turned out to be 20 rather than 21. So anyway, I wanted to share this lovely peice of work with you. I am going to hang it on her wall whenever I do the nursery. Whenever I do that I will post pics.

Precious gift

This past Christmas, I got this snow globe from my best friend, April. It touched my heart and made me cry like a baby. Inside the snow globe is a tree with a heart that reads: We never lose the ones we love.... they live on in our hearts. On the front is my son's name. It meant so much to me because sometimes after all the initial part of a death in the family is over, people tend to forget. I have been so fortunate that my close friends and family have not forgotten about my baby that only lived for three heartbeats in this world. It helps knowing that he not only lives on in me but in them also. I couldn't have gotten a better gift this Christmas. Conner will always be a part of me and my life. Thank you April for my gift, it meant the world to me.

Kara's already spoiled!!

This is just some of the items that Kara got for Christmas. I will have to post the rest of her things later. For someone who isn't' born yet, she's just rotten. Thank you to Granny Hayes, April, Gloria, Nanny, and Nana. I loved opening her gifts more than I did my own!!

As you requested...

This post is for Aunt Sandi. She sent Maddy some money in her birthday card and when I told her Maddy bought a baby doll she just had to see her. Maddy told me she named the baby doll Michalaya (not sure how you spell it). The doll came with all kinds of things including clothes, a carrier, a bottle, rattle and some other things. It actually cries and says "mama". Maddy enjoys baby dolls. I think it has something to do with the baby being on the way, before she didn't really like them much. We got her a cabbage patch for Christmas that is named Kara but spelled with a C. I thought it would be cool for her. Thank you, Aunt Sandi for the gift. We appreciate it!!

Thank you Kristen!

My friend Kristen is so sweet. She sent me these holiday scents from bath and body works because she knows how much I love them. We don't get the holiday scents here so she went and picked up a sample pack for me last week. I adore the Vanilla Bean Noel and Winter Candy Apple. You have got to smell these people. There's nothing I love more than holiday smells. Speaking of I am in need of some Morenci Christmas candles, eBay here I come!! Oh and she also sent me some chapstick from Victoria's secret that is oh so yummy!!

So last week I got two boxes in the mail from my mom, full of goodies for the baby. It was so fun to go through. Look at all she crammed in two boxes:
